90th Anniversory of Sri-la-Sri T.T.Sankaradoss Swamigal, Father of Tamil Stage Drama Celebrated by IPTA Puducherry, and Puducherry Kalai Ilakkiya Perumandram
On 13th November, IPTA Puducherry and Puducherry Kalai Ilakkiya Perumandram celebrated the 90th anniversory of Sri-la-Sri T.T.Sankaradoss Swamigal, Father of Tamil Stage Drama. The state commitee of the both units arranged for a rally from Vedhapuriswarar Temple with the picture of Sankaradoss Swamigal in a decorated car followed by drama artists, musicians, folk artists and writers. At the morial of Sankaradoss Swamigal at Karuvadikuppam homage was given by the artists and writers.
M.Adhiraman, President IPTA Puducherry welcomed the gatherings. M.K.Raman, Honerory President Puducherry Kalai Ilakkiya Perumandram preside over the function in the presence of Murugaiyan president. Prof. P.Murugavel, R.Thangamani Vice-Presidents of IPTA, k.Sakthikurunathan Secretary IPTA, M.S.Radhakrishnan, Secretary ,T.N.Kalai Ilakkiya Perumandram, R.Viswanathan, CPI State Secretary, S.Malakannan, Director of Art and Culture Department, Incharges of TN stage Drama units P.L.Gandhi, S.Isai Arasan,Nedumaran, Eeti Ganesan M.Balasubramaniyam Secretary Puducherry Tamil Sangam has deleverd their homage to Sankaradoss Swamigal.
Drama artists from Puducherry,Karur, Pudukottai, Karaikudi and Mannargudi Nadaga Mandrams, Makkal Kalai Kazhagam of Konery P.Ramasamy, Puducherry, Students from the Deportment of Drama- Puducherry University and Ramalingam's Sivagana Poodhagana Sabha were participated in the functions.
