IPTA J&K in rhythm

After a deep slumber of almost seven years IPTA J&K Chapter participated in national Convention at Bhillai under the leadership of sh. V.K. malla.
IPTA J&K Chapter was reconstituted in a one day convention on 29.01.2012. Com. Balkar Sidhu , President  IPTA, Chandigarh attended the convention as an observer from the National body, as directed by  Com. Jitendra raghuvanshi, Gen. Secy., National body. Com. V.K.Malla was elected as president, Com. Sanjay gupta as Gen. Secy. And Com. Ashwani Pradhan as  Chairman, besides other office bearers.
A short play ‘Jaago Bandhu Jaago Bhaiya’ written and directed by Sh. V.K.Malla was presented on the occasion. Besides this, revolutionary songs were presented by miss. Falguni Gupta, Hitanshu, Rahul, Sahil , Rafiq, Vandana Hans and others. The convention was chaired by Com. Kamal Dev, State Secy., CPI.
On 23rd march,2012,Shaheedi Diwas of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru & Sukhdev was observed and the play was performed at Miran Sahib.
World theatre Day was observed on 27th March 2012 by performing revolutionary songs at Press Club, Jammu.

Commencement of legendary Balraj Sahni’s centenary year and May Day was observed by performing short play ‘MUKHOTAY’ written by Com. Sanjay Gupta and directed by Com. Manoj Bhat at Rani Park, Parade Ground, Jammu. Those who participated include A.P.Singh, Manoj Bhat, Sanjay Gupta, Vikram Rajwal, Hariket Jij, Falguni Gupta, Hitansu, Ravi, Rahul, Rafiq, Vandana, Vikrant, Naazuk and Ripu.
It was decided by the Executive body to perform street plays every Sunday at different locations. In this connection, ‘MUKHOTAY” was performed at Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar on 13th May, 2012 and on 20th May at Mubarak mandi by the same cast with a single change that Sanjay Gupta performed in place of A.P.Singh who was out of station.   
 
 IPTA’s foundation day was observed on 25th May,2012 by performing a short play ‘INTEHA’, written by Sanjay Gupta and directed by Manoj Bhat and was enacted by Hardeep singh, Sanjay gupta, Manoj Bhat, Vikram Rajwal, hariket Jij and Master Ritvik Gupta.
27th May 2012 was observed as  Com. Parveen Kesar’s Birth Anniversary. In this connection, a programme was organized at K.L.Sehgal Hall ( Cultural Academy, Jammu). Ex. DG All India Raddio, Padamshree Jitendera Udhampuri was the chief guest while Com. G.S. Chark,  Convenor CPI, was the guest of honour. Sh. Mohan Singh, President PWA shared the dias along with Sh. V.K. Malla, President IPTA. Sh. Mohan singh read a detailed paper on the life and woks of Com. Parveen Kesar. Short play ‘INTEHA’ and a composite Mushaira  were the highlights of the function
